Self-portrait of the artist

There’s a row of towering pines visible through my studio window. Over the road is Coolart State Park populated with wallabies and echidnas. At the bottom of the hill and over the creek is a deserted beach. Occasionally a pod of dolphins pops up to say g’day.

I lost my heart and found my art, here, on the Mornington Peninsula. I draw it, paint it, make prints of it. It inspires my writing, life drawing and even my kids’ books.

I strive to capture the feeling I have for this place, and hope through my art, that I can share it with others.
